lise: First off: the sidebar there still cracks me up. "Remembering Pharrell Williams." Tour problems. Spoken word.

kel: Remembering Pharrell Wlliams!

lise: That "remembering Pharrell" part is one of my favorite parts of this whole story, because right around the time we were writing this, I think it was Aaliah that had died, and everywhere you went you saw things saying "remembering Aaliah."

Timberlake Cancels Concert, People Question Stability

10.14.2006 2:24 PM EST

Rumors that Justin Timberlake's concert in San Francisco last night was canceled because the star reportedly threw a fit and left the stage have so far been ignored by Timberlake's label. This isn't the only problem reported on the singer's tour, however -- the show in New York started almost two hours late, and Timberlake himself has been a no-show to various interviews and events within the last two months.

No news has yet been released about the rescheduling of his show or the cause of the cancellation. Refunds have been issued for tickets.

kel: You know, I used to think that nobody would appreciate the level of minute detail in this story as much as we did, but then Lesa Soja wrote us feedback and mentioned the canceled club date being on 10.13 as a possible homage to "The X Files" (it's not, it was a total coincidence based on the timing of Chris' birthday), and then I realized that we weren't the only ones.

lise: Trying to figure the timeline of October, 2006 was really hard. For those of you playing at home.

kel: There's a point somewhere where we made a mistake. I think it's on the ebay.com page. We'll get there.

lise: We did? Why didn't you tell me to change it?

kel: I didn't notice until someone mentioned it in feedback.

lise: We should change it now.

kel: Actually, it was dear Lesa. She mentioned something about how the mistake of the date kept the reader guessing. She's way too kind to us.

lise: I remember that now. We'll talk about that later. Next.
